BERNARD, ALPHONSINE

Alphonsine Boucher, 100 years old, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Foyer Saint-Antoine on Sunday July 14, 2019. She was married to the late Théophile Boucher (1981). Born in Saint-Paul, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and the late Annie (Goguen) Bernard. She will be sadly missed by her six children; Marie-Anne Léger (Raoul), Alice Caissie (late Gerard), Lucie Williams (Raymond) of Saint-Antoine, Irène Cormier (Aurèle) of Moncton, Annie
Léger (Jean) of Moncton and Yvon of Saint-Paul, her sixteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren as well as several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one daughter Ida, four sisters; Léona, Sr Euphrasie (Alice), Elise and Marie and eight brothers; Henri, Désiré, Arthur, Adelard, Léonide, Aimé, Aurèle and Alfred. Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine L’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Wednesday July 17 from 7 to 9 and on Thursday July 18 at the Saint-Paul-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Paul-de-Kent Church on Thursday July 18, 2019 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery. In Alphonsine’s memory, donations may be made to the Foyer Saint-Antoine. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.

BOURGEOIS, YVONNE
Yvonne Gauvin 1918-2019 Au CHU Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont, le samedi 1 juin 2019, est décédée à l'âge de 100 ans, Yvonne Gauvin, de Grande-Digue. Née à Grande-Digue, le 2 juin 1918, elle était la fille de feu Hector et Amanda (Vautour) Bourgeois. Yvonne était co-propriétaire du camping, Plage Gauvin. Elle était membre de l'Institut Féminin et du Club d'Age d'Or à Grande-Digue. Elle donna plusieurs heures de son temps à Notre-Centre comme bénévole. Elle laisse dans le deuil quatre filles: Josette Gionet (Bertrand) de Shediac, Hectorine Léger (Jean-Guy), Roberta LeBlanc (feu Donald) et Joanne Gauvin tous trois de Grande-Digue; six petits-enfants et quatre arrières-petits-enfants; une belle-soeur, Thérèse Bourgeois ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux. Elle était la dernière survivante de sa famille immédiate. Outre son époux Edgar (1986), elle fut précédée dans la tombe par une fille, Marguerite (1979), ses soeurs et frères: Rita, Rosa, Saddie, Léo, Livain, Noé, Donat et Elie. La famille recevra les condoléances au Centre funéraire et de crémation Frenette, 396, rue Main, Shediac le mardi 4 juin de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h seulement. Les funérailles seront célébrées en l'église La Visitation, 416 Route 530, Grande-Digue le mercredi 5 juin à 11heures. L'inhumation se fera au Cimetière paroissial. En mémoire d'Yvonne un don à la fondation CHU-Dumont (cardiologie 862-4285) ou l'INCA serait apprécié. Waltham – Mrs. Flora (LegerClancy, of Waltham, died Saturday, July 6, 2019, her 102nd birthday.

Flora was born in Fitchburg, a daughter of the late Napoleon and Emma (Landry) Leger and was raised in New Ipswich, New Hampshire. She moved to Waltham in 1946 where she went to work at the Waltham Watch Factory before her marriage to Waltham native John J. Clancy who died in February, 1992.

She leaves her children, Sheila A. Clancy of Waltham and Maureen J. Clancy of Nashua, New Hampshire and several nieces and nephews.

Flora was also a sister of the late Yvon, Ernest, Francis, Adris, Alyre and Edward Leger, Evelyn Seretto and Helen Brown.
Family and friends will honor and remember Flora's life by gathering to visit from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, July 10th before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School St., Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

RANDALL, FRED A.
On Thursday June 6, 2019, the 75th anniversary of D-Day, Fred Randall, a 30 year member of the United States Armed Forces, passed away at the age of 103. Born on January 1, 1916 in Schenectady he was the son of Charles and Mae Belle Randall. He graduated from S. Glens Falls High School. On May 11, 1945 Fred enlisted in the United States Army serving in the 18th Infantry Regiment. Following active duty He continued in the Army National guard retiring in 1975 as a sergeant 1st class after 30 years of service to our country. Fred also maintained his civilian career as a machinist at the General Electric Co. retiring after 33 years of service. His affiliations include life memberships with the VFW Post 8692 in Colonie and the 1st infantry division WWIIveterans society. For more than 90 years Fred was a member of the Local 85 musicians union. Fred Randall was predeceased by his children, Charles Randall and Carolyn (Randall) Dzamba. He is survived by his grandchildren, Charles D. Randall (Lori Hilson), Thomas Randall (Ruth Randall) and Danielle Dzamba (John Martino). His great-grandchildren, Andrew and Charisa Ledger, Brooke Randall, Kaylin Dzamba, Sierra and Johnny Martino. Also his two great-great-grandchildren, Calysa and Clayton Moody. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church 806 Union St., Schenectady. STEVENSON, HILDA

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Hilda Disher announce her passing on June 6, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on July 27, 1917 she was a daughter of the late John and Alice (Barraclough) Stevenson. Hilda was a proud, lifelong member of St. Mary and St. Bartholomew’s Church. She loved to dance and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Hilda is survived by her daughters, Carol vonRichter and Janet (Al) MacNichol; grandchildren, Kathy (Lee) Arnold, Cindy (David) Marks, Mark (Teresa) vonRichter, Keith MacNichol and Amy MacNichol (Ray Legere); seven great– grandchildren and three great–great–grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Hilda was predeceased by her first husband Walter Allaby; second husband, Robert Disher; sister, Emily Staddon (the late George); brother, Jack Stevenson (the late Eileen) and son–in–law, Alward vonRichter. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634–7424) with visitation on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 6 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hilda can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
